Men's Soccer Loses to Michigan State 4-1

EAST LANSING, MI - The Chicago State men's soccer team faced off against the Michigan State Spartans and suffered a 4-1 loss.

In the first half, the Spartans began the game possessing the ball very well, forcing the Cougars to set back and defend.

Eventually, after a few possessions, the Spartans were able to break through the Cougars to score their first goal of the match at 25th minute mark.

The Cougars quickly attempted to bounce back, however were unable to build up play or get any shots on goal. With just a minute to go in the half, at the 44th minute mark, the Spartans stole the ball and struck in another goal to go up 2-0 at the half.

In the second half, the Cougars came out possessing the ball much better. Nonetheless, in one of the build ups Michigan once again stole the ball and increased their lead at the 54th minute mark to stun Chicago State and go up 3-0.

However, The Cougars did not back down as they were suddenly attacking and producing shots. Fortunately, the Cougars finally were able to fire in a goal of their own as Niall Red-Stephen bagged his third of the season at the 70th minute mark.

Unfortunately, the Spartans quickly answered back with yet another goal at the 82nd minute which resulted in a final score of 4-1.
