WEST HARTFORD, CT - The Chicago State women's soccer team faced off against the Hartford University Hawks and lost 3-1.
In the first half, the Hawks came out pressing the Cougars and forced an early goal at the 9th minute to go up 1-0.
The Cougars defended well throughout the rest of the half and maintained the Hawks lead at the minimum with a 1-0 score at the half.
However, once again the Hawks started off well and broke through with a goal at the 54th minute to stun the Cougars and go up 2-0.
Nonetheless, Chicago State quickly retaliated with a beautiful goal from Delaney Kenney just one minute after the Hawks second goal to inch closer with a score of 2-1.
Unfortunately, the Hawks bounced back with a quick goal at the 58th minute to go up 3-1 which was the eventual final score as the Cougars were unsuccessful in scoring any more goals.
The Cougars next face the University of Southern Indiana on Thursday at 7 P.M.
