CHICAGO, IL - The Chicago State men's soccer faced off against Bowling Green and suffered a 3-0 loss.
In the first half, the Cougars and the Falcons both produced several scoring chances however, excellent defense from both sides kept the game scoreless after a full 45 minutes.
To start the second half, both teams once again maintained their defensive prowess to remain at a deadlock.
Nonetheless, the Falcons eventually broke through and opened up the scoring at the 56th minute to stun the Cougars and go up 1-0.
Chicago State then proceeded to attempt to press forward and once again produce scoring chances. Unfortunately, the Falcons quickly countered to bury two goals with one at the 80th and the other at the 82nd minute mark to suddenly lead 3-0.
The Cougars fell short as Bowling Green retained their 3-0 lead to comfortably take the win.
The Cougars next take on the NIU Huskies in Dekalb, IL on Monday at 7 P.M.

Chicago State volleyball recorded a historic season in 2021, with Yanlis Feliz becoming CSU's first volleyball All-American and head coach Tony Trifonov earning selection as WAC Coach of the Year. During that same season, three different CSU teams earned victories over Big Ten opponents with men's soccer beating Northwestern, women's basketball upending Wisconsin and volleyball, which established a school record 17 wins and hosted a post-season volleyball tournament for the first time in program history, swept Indiana in Bloomington.
