CSU Women's Tennis Drop Spring Opener to Marquette 7-0

Host SIUE Sunday at 10 a.m. at the H-F Racquet & Fitness Club

Box Score
The Chicago State women's tennis team opened their spring schedule with a 7-0 loss to Marquette Friday afternoon at the Helfaer Tennis & Recreation Center in Milwaukee, Wis.

"We lost a tough battle today but it was great to get back on the court," associate head coach Adesuwa Osabuohien said. "Some of our women battled through injuries during the fall season so it had been several months since they played a collegiate match. Overall, it was great to get them back on the court and this opening match shows where we can make adjustments and improve going forward."

The next action for the Cougars will be Jan. 23 in a rare home and away match day, hosting SIUE at 10 a.m. at the H-F Racquet & Fitness Club then traveling to Urbana-Champaign to face the University of Illinois at 4 p.m. at the Atkins Center Center.
