CHICAGO– The Chicago State Board of Trustees passed the CSU Athletics FY21 Sports Sponsorship resolution presented by the Chicago State University Department of Athletics which eliminated baseball effective immediately.
"This decision was one that we didn't arrive at lightly," said Chicago State Director of Athletics,
Elliott Charles. "We are working diligently to support our student-athletes during this change."
Scholarships for current baseball student-athletes will be honored for the duration of their academic careers.
The resolution also adds a men's soccer team for the 2020-21 year.
