CHICAGO – Rookie setter/outside hitter
Josi Borum (Sterling, IL/) added her fourth triple-double of the season, ranking fourth in the NCCA, during a heartbreaking Chicago State volleyball five-set loss (19-25, 25-22, 19-25, 25-14, 16-14) to Seattle, Nov. 7, in Chicago.
CSU (4-23, 0-13 WAC) and SU (12-15, 3-10 WAC) shared sets during the first four, forcing a fifth deciding set before the Redhawks sealed the match in the extra-points.
CSU
- Borum's fourth triple-double consisted of 12 kills, 18 assists and 10 digs, while also earning four blocks.
- Beatriz Palmieri (Ribeirao Preto, Sao Paulo, Brazil/Professora Carlina Cacapava de Mello) led the Cougars with 16 kills, and collected 11 digs.
- Naliah Jones (10) and Kirah Williams Shepherd (10) also earned double-digit kills.
- Lacee Adams (Muncie, Ind./Muncie Central) paced the offense with a team-best 30 assists
- Defensively, Megan Klavitter (Fenton, MI/) picked up a team-best 35 digs.
SU
- Eve Kerschenbaum led the match with 18 kills, followed by Julia Queiroz' 11.
- Ezgi Ozkan earned match-best 44 assists.
- Four Redhawks finished with double-digit digs, led by Tijana Milojevic's 21.
