CHICAGO – Chicago State women's basketball freshmen
Bethany Carstens (Kenai, Alaska/Nikiski) led the Cougars with a game-high 20 points as CSU dropped a 98-70 decision to Oakland at home, Nov. 16.
CSU
- Carstens finished 8-for-14 from the field, 2-for-5 from three, perfect from the line, and four rebounds
- Tyeshia Bowers (Flint, Mich./Southwestern) (17) and Kourtney Crane (Peoria, Ill./Richwoods) (14) also finished in double-figures for CSU.
- Aja Phomiphat finished with a game-best six rebounds
Oakland
- Jalisha Terry led the game with 21 points, shooting 3-for-5 from three.
- Four other Golden Grizzlies finished in double-figures during the victory.
- Kayla Luchenbach pulled down a game-high 10 boards.
