LAS CRUCES, N.M. – After securing a first-set victory, Chicago State volleyball dropped a 3-1 (17-25, 25-23, 25-15, 25-18) match at top-ranked New Mexico State, Thursday (Nov. 14) afternoon in Las Cruces, N.M.
CSU
- Rookie Josi Borum (Sterling, IL/) led the Cougars with a team-best 14 kills, while completing a double-double with 11 assists, and picked up six digs and three blocks.
- Kirah Williams Shepherd trailed Josi with 12 kills and two blocks of her own.
- Running the offense, Lacee Adams (Muncie, Ind./Muncie Central) dished 21 assists, and added 15 digs.
- On the defensive end, Megan Klavitter (Fenton, MI/) earned a team-best 26 digs, while Autumn DeSantis (Youngstown, OH/) finished with a match-high six blocks.
NMSU
- Savannah Davison led the match with 16 kills, as Ashley Anselmo added 10.
- Natalie Mikels and Krysten Garrison split time running the offense finishing with 26 and 15 assists respectively.
- Four finished with double-digit digs for the host-team, led by Nikels 16, while Ashley Anselmo collected five blocks.
