Chicago State volleyball opens a four-game road stretch with a pair of west coast matches at Grand Canyon (Oct. 24) and California State Bakersfield (Oct. 26).

The Cougars (5-17, 0-8 WAC) take on the Lopes (16-4-1, 6-2 WAC) in Phoenix, Ariz., at 6 p.m. (MST), and the Roadrunners (7-13, 2-6 WAC) in Bakersfield, Calif. At 1 p.m. (PST).

Last time out, Chicago State volleyball rookie Josi Borum (Sterling, IL ) recorded her third kill/assist/dig double-digit performance of the season, during a 3-0 loss to the top-rank Western Athletic Conference (WAC) New Mexico State Aggies

New Mexico State kept its undefeated conference record intact after a 25-22, 25-18, 25-18 victory over the host Cougars.

Beatriz Palmieri (Ribeirao Preto, Sao Paulo, Brazil/Professora Carlina Cacapava de Mello) leads the Cougars on the offensive end (2.60 kills per set) while Josi Borum (Sterling, IL ) trails with 2.57kps.

The Rookie, Borum, currently ranks tied for fourth in the nation with a total of three triple-doubles on the season.

GCU
GCU and Kansas City are knotted in second place in the WAC heading into the weekend, led by Freshman Klaire Mitchell who dominates on offense and defense, as the setter has 740 assists, 77 kills, 208 digs and 45 blocks on the season.

CSUB
The Cougars and the Roadrunners went toe-to-toe at the end of September, but CSUB earned a 3-1 road-victory over CSU. Offensively, the 'Runners are led by Hayley McCluskey's 2.62 kills per set.
