Cougars Finish WAC Southwest Road Trip Today at UTRGV

EDINBURG, Texas – Chicago State volleyball finished off its weekend Western Athletic Conference road swing through the southwest here today after dropping a 3-0 (8-25, 21-25, 18-25) decision to host University of Texas Rio Grande Valley at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.

The Cougars (10-10, 1-3) were led by sophomore Megan Klavitter (Fenton, Mich./Linden) as she recorded 12 digs. Freshman Lacee Adams (Muncie, Ind./Muncie Central) posted 11 assists followed by fellow freshman Summer Farris (Farmington Hills, Mich./North Farmington) finished with seven kills and three blocks (one solo, two assisted).

The Vaqueros (9-7, 3-0) were led by Bojana Mitrovic's match-high 10 kills and also received a match-leading 33 assists from Dubravka Vukoja.

Up next for the Green and White is a trip to Kansas City for a WAC showdown against host UMKC at the Swinney Recreation Center on Friday, Oct. 6 beginning at 4 p.m.
