Klavitter Tallies Match-High 15 Digs in Cougars’ 3-0 WAC Loss at Utah Valley

Megan Klavitter led CSU with a match-high 15 digs tonight at Utah Valley

OREM, Utah – Freshman Megan Klavitter (Fenton, Mich./Linden) recorded a match-high 15 digs as the Chicago State volleyball team dropped 3-0 (13-25, 14-25, 8-25) decision to host Utah Valley in a Western Athletic Conference match tonight at UCCU Center.

Junior Kelsey Taylor (Miami, Fla./Westminster Christian School) recorded 10 assists for CSU (2-14, 0-2), and fellow junior Corey Davis (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Thousand Oaks) added nine assists with seven digs. Senior Dzeni Hadzisehovic (Belgrade, Serbia/First Private School for Catering and Tourism) and junior Paige Eyring (Mesa, Ariz./Mesa) each produced six kills for the Green and White.

Madison Dennison led Utah Valley (5-11, 1-2) with a pair of match-high totals with nine kills and nine block assists. Sierra Starley dished out a match-leading 21 assists with eight digs and five total blocks (four assisted, one solo).

The Green and White conclude their road swing this Saturday afternoon at Seattle in a WAC showdown with a start time of 12 p.m., Pacific Time.
