Box Score
CHICAGO – Freshman Mariela Alba (Hanover Park, Ill./Bartlett) tallied her team-leading third goal of the season for host Chicago State in the finale of its three-game homestand at Kroc Stadium today against Eastern Illinois, but the visiting Panthers scored a goal in the 97th minute to escape with a 2-1 overtime victory.

EIU (1-3) claimed an early 1-0 advantage at the 12:06 mark of the first half when Henar Urteaga beat a CSU defender and lined a quick shot to the back of the net.

The Green and White bounced back in the second half thanks to Alba as she intercepted a pass and dribbled past a pair of EIU players before scoring at 57:07 to even the score at 1-1 and the Cougars' defense held on the rest of the half to send the contest into an extra period.

The score stayed the same until the 96:36 mark after Hannah Heinz scored off a rebound inside the 10-yard box for the visitors to end the game with Madi Fisher and Emma Scaro recording assists on the goal.

Alba finished with two shots on goal for the Cougars (1-3), while sophomore Audra Wisehart (Sandusky, Ohio/Huron) played the second half and overtime periods in goal and tallied a game-high four saves.
