This Week: The Chicago State women's soccer team heads into the third week of its five-game road swing as it plays a couple of Horizon League foes this week. CSU travels to Milwaukee for a mid-week battle Wednesday afternoon on ESPN3 beginning at 5 p.m. before closing out the week on Sunday afternoon at UIC with a start time of 4 p.m.

Scouting the Cougars: CSU has produced a 1-5 season record entering this week's slate following last Sunday's 7-0 defeat at Indiana State. Freshman midfielder Mariela Alba (Hanover Park, Ill./Bartlett) leads the Cougars in scoring with three goals and six points on the year. The teams' assist leaders are sophomore midfielder Alejandra Alonso (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Hoffman Estates) and freshman forward Madison Berg (Coatesville, ind./Cascade). Junior goalkeeper Gabby Klemp (Muskegon, Mich./Reeths-Puffer) has recorded 22 saves, a 2.29 goals-against-average and a .733 save percentage for the Green and White.

Scouting the Panthers: Milwaukee has amassed a 3-3-2 season record, but has dropped two of its last three contests dating back to Sept. 4. The Panthers earned a split last weekend with a 1-1 tie at Marquette before losing a 1-0 decision at home to Iowa State two days later. Redshirt senior midfielder Maria Stephans leads UWM with eight points on three goals and two assists, and junior midfielder Anna Smalley has dished out a team-best three assists. Redshirt junior goalkeeper Mallory Guerts has tallied team highs of 33 saves, a .825 save percentage and a goals-against-average of 0.86.

UWM History: This will be the second lifetime meeting between CSU and Milwaukee as the Panthers captured a 9-0 victory on Sept. 13, 2015 at Kroc Stadium.

Scouting the Flames: UIC, who kicks off Horizon League play on Friday at Milwaukee before Sunday's matchup with the Cougars, heads into the week with a 1-5-2 record and a four-game losing skid after falling to host Northern Arizona (1-0) and Grand Canyon (4-0) last weekend in the NAU Mountain Classic. Junior forward Emily Wauer leads the Flames in scoring with five points on two goals and an assist, while junior forward Olivia Everin has notched a team-leading three assists. Junior goalkeeper Annie DiCanio is the team's save leader with 21 stops.

UIC History: Sunday's game serves as the first-ever meeting between Chicago State and UIC, who both began their programs in 2014.

Up Next: CSU closes out their road swing in the city's north side at Loyola on Sept. 23 in an ESPN3 live broadcast with a start time of 7 p.m.
