Cougars Fall to Grand Canyon in 2016 Home Finale

CHICAGO - The Chicago State women's soccer team concluded its home schedule here today at Kroc Stadium after falling to visiting Grand Canyon by a score of 9-0.

The visiting Lopes (6-8-1, 2-1-1) garnered a 5-0 advantage in the first half after tallying goals in the eighth, 27th, 31st, 36th and 38th minutes. GCU then added goals in the 51st, 67th, 81st and 86th minutes of the second half for the final margin.

Sophomore goalkeeper Audra Wisehart (Sandusky, Ohio/Huron) recorded a season-high 15 saves for the Cougars (1-13, 0-4), while freshman Madison Berg (Coatesville, ind./Cascade) tallied two shot attempts.

CSU kicks off a three-game, season-ending WAC road swing on Thursday, Oct. 20 in Orem, Utah against Utah Valley with the opening kickoff set for 5:30 p.m., Mountain Time.
