Cougars Conclude WAC Road Weekend with 3-0 Loss at Seattle U

SEATTLE – Chicago State volleyball concluded its first Western Athletic Conference road weekend of the season here at the Connolly Complex this afternoon by dropping a three-set decision to host Seattle U via scores of 25-11, 26-24 and 25-17.
 
The Cougars (2-15, 0-3) were led by junior Corey Davis (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Thousand Oaks) as she nearly recorded a double-double with 10 assists and six digs. Fellow junior Paige Eyring (Mesa, Ariz./Mesa) finished with six kills and two block assists, while freshman Megan Klavitter (Fenton, Mich./Linden) tallied two service aces.
 
Leading SU (9-8, 2-2) was Maja Stojanovic with match highs of 12 kills and four block assists.
 
CSU returns to the Jacoby Dickens Center next week for a pair of WAC home matches beginning on Thursday, Oct. 6 against Grand Canyon in its AVCA Dig Pink match with a start time of 7 p.m.
