Davis Records Double-Double in Cougars’ 3-0 Loss at Green Bay

Corey Davis recorded a double-double of 19 assists and 10 digs Tuesday night at Green Bay

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Sophomore Corey Davis (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Thousand Oaks) recorded her second double-double of the season for the Chicago State volleyball team Tuesday night as the visiting Cougars dropped a 3-0 (16-25, 15-25, 12-25) decision to Green Bay at the Kress Center.

Davis tallied 19 assists and a match-high 10 digs for the CSU (0-10). Junior Elli Woinowsky (Berlin, Germany/Merian Oberschule) recorded a match-leading eight kills, while redshirt freshman Brianna Stewart (Elgin, Illinois/Larkin High School) equaled Davis with 10 digs and added six kills.

Green Bay (8-3) was led by Beth Kuske and Emily Riese, who produced eight kills and a match-high 26 assists, respectively.

Chicago State is back in action this Friday afternoon as it takes on Valparaiso in the opener of the Indiana State Invitational #2 in Terre Haute, Ind. The first serve is set for 3 p.m., central time.
