Box Score BAKERSFIELD, Calif.,- Chicago State (6-21, 2-8 WAC) suffered a loss to Bakersfield (11-16, 6-5 WAC) 64-51 Thursday night at the Icardo Center.
Bakersfield led by as many as 13 in the first half, the Cougars struggled offensively early but managed to convert a pair of three-pointers late in the half and trailed just 28-25 to CSUB at halftime.
That was as close as the game would get however as the Roadrunners opened the second half on an 11-2 run to build a double-digit lead that the Cougars would never catch CSUB. Bakersfield managed to score 23 points off 11 Chicago State turnovers and 12 second-chance points following nine offensive rebounds.
Jawad Adekoya (Tinley Park, IL/Victor J. Andrew High School) who scored 15 points on 5-of-6 from three-point range led the Cougars. Anthony Glover (Toledo, OH/St. John's Jesuit) added 11 points to the team's effort.Â
