Davis Posts Sixth Double-Double for CSU Volleyball at Grand Canyon

PHOENIX – Sophomore Corey Davis (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Thousand Oaks) tallied her team-leading sixth double-double of the season for the Chicago State volleyball team as it continued its three-match road swing here tonight after falling to host Grand Canyon by a 3-0 (15-25, 24-26, 19-25) score at GCU's Antelope Gymnasium.

Davis finished the match with a match-leading 27 assists and 11 digs to go along with two block assists and two kills for CSU (1-26, 0-13).

Fellow sophomores Arieta Vaimaona (Lauli'i, American Samoa/Faga'itua) and Shontanae Addison (Little Elm, Texas/Wakeland) led the Green and White with eight kills and 14 digs, respectively. Junior Elli Woinowsky (Berlin, Germany/Merian Oberschule) contributed 10 digs on the evening.

Natalie Tardy tallied a match-best 12 kills and Emily Vitel produced 24 digs to lead the host Antelopes (5-20, 3-10).

CSU closes out the season this Saturday afternoon in California when it takes on CSU Bakersfield with the first serve set for 1 p.m., Pacific Time. The match will be broadcast live on the WAC Digital Network.
