Cougars Fall at Home to Seattle in Windy WAC Showdown

CHICAGO – The Chicago State women's soccer team battled windy conditions in its Western Athletic Conference game versus two-time defending conference champion Seattle at Ray and Joan Kroc Stadium Friday afternoon with the visiting Redhawks capturing a 5-0 victory.
 
SU (6-2-2, 1-0-1) scored three goals between the 22nd and 30th minutes of the first half to take a 3-0 advantage at the half. The Redhawks added two additional goals in the 50th and 57th minutes in the second stanza for the final margin.
 
Freshman Audra Wisehart (Sandusky, Ohio/Huron), who currently leads the WAC in saves and saves per game, recorded 12 saves in goal for the Cougars (0-11, 0-2).
 
CSU welcomes Utah Valley to Kroc Stadium this Sunday for a WAC contest with the opening kickoff set for 1 p.m.
