Women’s Soccer Concludes WAC Road Swing at UTRGV

EDINBURG, Texas – The Chicago State women's soccer team concluded its four-game Western Athletic Conference road swing here today after falling to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley by a score of 2-0 at the UTRGV Soccer Complex.  
 
The host Vaqueros (3-10-3, 1-6) scored in the 10th minute of the first half and held a 1-0 lead at intermission before tacking on another goal in the 83rd minute for the final margin.
 
Sophomore Gabby Klemp (Muskegon, Mich./Reeths-Puffer) recorded a match-best four saves for CSU (0-16, 0-7).
 
The Cougars begin a three-game homestand at Ray and Joan Kroc Stadium to close out the season beginning on Friday, Oct. 23 against New Mexico State with the opening kickoff set for 1 p.m.
