PHOENIX – Freshman Kasey Duncan (Norwalk, Ohio/Norwalk) scored her first collegiate goal here Friday night as Chicago State fell to host Grand Canyon in a Western Athletic Conference match at GCU Soccer Field by a score of 7-1.

The Antelopes (5-6-2, 2-1-1) produced three first-half goals in the seventh, 34th and 44th minutes of play and later took a 4-0 lead in the 49th minute.

Duncan got CSU on the board in the 51st minute as she put a rebound off a shot from fellow freshman Amber Jones (St. Louis, Mo./Mary Institute Country Day) in the back of the net to cut the Green and White's deficit to 4-1. GCU closed the match by adding three goals in the 64th, 78th and 83rd minutes.

Freshman Audra Wisehart (Sandusky, Ohio/Huron) posted a match-best nine saves in goal for the Cougars, while sophomore Taylor Conroy (Avondale, Ariz./Millard West (Neb.)) contributed seven saves.

Chicago State heads to California for a Sunday afternoon WAC showdown against Bakersfield with a start time of 12:30 p.m., central time.
