New Mexico State Captures 3-0 Win over Chicago State Volleyball

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Host New Mexico State posted a .448 hitting percentage here this evening as it captured a 3-0 (15-25, 17-25, 18-25) victory over visiting Chicago State volleyball in a Western Athletic Conference match at the Pan American Center.

Junior Logan Miller (Palm Harbor, FL/Palm Harbor University) recorded a team-best eight kills, while redshirt junior Jana Kunz (Olten, Switzerland/Kantonsschule Solothurn) dished out a career-high 17 assists and tied for top team honors with five digs. Sophomore Arieta Vaimaona (Lauli'i, American Samoa/Faga'itua) and redshirt freshman Brianna Stewart (Elgin, Illinois/Larkin High School) each contributed five kills for the Green and White.

Bradley Nash posted match highs of nine kills, four blocks (three assisted, one solo) and a .533 hitting percentage to lead NM State. Taylor Livoti produced 20 assists and Kaylee Neal recorded a match-high 11 digs for the Aggies.

The Cougars return to action this Saturday afternoon in Texas with a WAC contest at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in a WAC Digital Network broadcast beginning at 12 p.m., central time.
