Box Score The CSU Cougars lost in Western Athletic Conference action as they fell 41-57 to Bakersfield.
The Roadrunners defense held the Cougars (4-14, 0-4 WAC) to only 41 points. Chicago State's offense struggled as they shot 27% from the field and 22% (4-of-22) from three-point range.
The Cougars led only once in the game but were down 24-17 at the half. Chicago State cut the lead to five points with 12:51 left in the second half before CSUB went on a 12-0 run over the next five minutes to build a 17 point lead.
Cougars were led by
Trayvon Palmer (Milwaukee, WI/Brown Deer) with 13 points and 10 points from
Joshua Batson (Chicago, Ill./Curie) who hit a three-pointer with 18 second to play to cut the final deficit to 16 points.
The Cougars hit the road as they travel to Utah to take on the Utah Valley Univeristy on Jan. 29 at 7pm and then on to Phoenix, Saturday Jan. 31 to take on Grand Canyon University at 7pm.
