Guthrie, Okla./Guthrie High School) has announced that Asia Johnson has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Cougars.
Johnson was the 2013 5A Oklahoma State Champion in the 100 meter hurdles as well as holding the regional title. Academically, Johnson was a member of the National Honor Society at Guthrie High School.
"The fact that Asia from Oklahoma is a state champion in the hurdles is a huge step forward in our efforts to build a balanced program," Collins said. "Her dedication to academics and the support from her family was a determining factor for me to realize that Asia will do well at Chicago State. She is a tenacious competitor with a great work ethic. It will not take long at all for her to fit right into our program. I can't wait to get this class of recruits ready for next season."
