Idaho Takes Care Of Chicago State Women's Hoops 92-42

Freshman Konner Harris tied her career-high with eight points vs. Idaho.

CHICAGO - The Idaho Vandals took care of the Chicago State Cougars by a score of 92-42 on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 4) at the Jones Convocation Center. Junior Tierra Williams (Detroit, Mich./Lathrup) scored a team-high 14 points in the loss. 
 
Sophomore Layne Murphy (Country Club Hills, Ill./Rich Central) scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds while freshman Konner Harris (Sidney, Ohio/Sidney) tied her career-high with eight points off the bench in defeat. 
 
Idaho started the game on a 10-0 run. The defending WAC Tournament Champions, led by Stacy Barr's 14 first half points, went into halftime with a 43-19 lead.
 
Idaho maintained their lead in the second half despite six points and six rebounds from junior Paris Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville). Williams finished with six points and nine rebounds in the game. 
 
Barr finished with 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Vandals while Alyssa Charlston also scored 15 points in the victory. 
 
Chicago State falls to 2-12 and 0-2 in WAC play while Idaho improves to 9-7 and 2-0 in the conference. The Cougars return to the JCC on Wednesday (Jan. 8) against Indiana Northwest.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm.
