CSU Women's Hoops Continues WAC Play Vs. Idaho

CONFERENCE HISTORY -

This will be Chicago State's first season in the WAC after spending the previous four seasons in the Great West Conference. The Cougars were an independent from 2006-09 after 12 seasons in the Summit League. Prior to their time in the Summit, Chicago State spent one season in the East Coast League (1993-94) and their first seven years in Division I as an independent.

ONE OF THE BEST -

Paris Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville) leads the WAC in steals (3.0).  The last Cougar to lead to their conference in a category was Jackie Jones (Detroit, Mich./Martin Luther King) last season in the Great West Conference for assists (4.1).

CHICAGO THREE PARTY -
Tierra Williams (Detroit, Mich./Lathrup) has had at least one three-pointer in 21 of her last 25 games.

Konner Harris (Sidney, Ohio/Sidney) has made at least one three-pointer in her last 12 games.

GRAND THEFT - 

Layne Murphy (Country Club Hills, Ill./Rich Central) has at least one steal in 21 of her last 28 games. 

Tierra Williams (Detroit, Mich./Lathrup) has at least one steal in 19 of her last 23 games.

Paris Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville) has at least one steal in 30 of her last 35 games and at least two steals in 16 of her last 18. 

Chanel Wilson-Stewart (Hillside, Ill./St. Joseph's) has at least one steal in 14 of her last 18 games.

Chicago State has had at least eight steals in 20 of their last 23 games.

The Cougars have at least one block in 128 of their last 137 games dating back to the 2009-10 season and at least two blocks in 17 of their last 22 games. 

Chanel Wilson-Stewart (Hillside, Ill./St. Joseph's) has at least one block in 13 of her last 17 games. Her 67 career blocks ranks sixth in the program's history.

SCORING MACHINES - 

Paris Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville) has scored at least ten points in nine of the team's 13 games this year including four of her last six.  Tierra Williams (Detroit, Mich./Lathrup) has also scored at least 10 points  in eight of her last 10 games.

YOUNG ROSTER - 

The Cougars have nine freshmen and sophomores on their roster and no seniors.  They are one of only two teams in the WAC (New Mexico State) to have no seniors on the roster.
