CHICAGO – Freshman Emily Kramolisch (Bolingbrook, IL/Bolingbrook) (Bolingbrook, Ill.) tallied her first collegiate double-double in leading Chicago State volleyball in its Great West Conference opener Thursday night against visiting Texas-Pan American at the Jacoby Dickens Center. The Broncs captured the win in a five-set battle via scores of 22-25, 25-19, 20-25, 25-14 and 15-4.
Kramolisch recorded a match-high 35 assists and 13 digs to pace the Green and White, while senior Alexandra Mason (Beaverton, OR/Harper College) (Beaverton, Ore.) produced nine kills and a match-best seven blocks. Junior Rachel Levitt (Willow Springs, Ill./Lyons Township) (Willow Springs, Ill.) added nine kills and sophomore Mysta Townsell (Gardnerville, Nev./Douglas) (Gardnerville, Nev.) posted a match-leading 22 digs.
UTPA was paced by junior Ijanae Holman, who recorded a double-double of her own with 20 kills and 17 digs on the night. Freshman Diara Reynolds contributed 13 kills, while fellow classmates Shauna Miller and Krysta Freitas recorded 31 assists and six service aces, respectively.
CSU closes out its four-match homestand Saturday afternoon when it welcomes Houston Baptist to the Dickens Center for a GWC contest with a start time of 2:30 p.m.
