CHICAGO – Junior Rachel Levitt (Willow Springs, Ill./Lyons Township) (Willow Springs, Ill.) paced Chicago State with a match-high eight kills, but the host Cougars dropped a 3-0 (12-25, 17-25, 21-25) decision to defending Great West Conference champion North Dakota tonight in a conference match at the Jacoby Dickens Center.
Senior Alexandra Mason (Beaverton, OR/Harper College) (Beaverton, Ore.) also recorded eight kills on the evening, while freshman Emily Kramolisch (Bolingbrook, IL/Bolingbrook) (Bolingbrook, Ill.) tallied 25 assists.
Leading North Dakota was freshman Felicia Ulrich, who tied Levitt and Mason for match-high kill honors with eight. Redshirt freshman Nikki Husfeldt recorded a match-best 28 assists and senior Taylor Bohannon posted a match-leading nine digs for the Fighting Sioux.
CSU hosts Utah Valley in a GWC conference battle at the Dickens Center this Saturday afternoon with a start time of 1 p.m.
