TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Chicago State volleyball concluded its short two-match road swing here tonight after falling to host Indiana State via a 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-15) decision at ISU Arena. The Cougars dropped to 0-13 on the year, while the Sycamores improved their season ledger to 8-5.

ISU snapped a 5-5 tie early in the first set by scoring 15 of the next 24 points behind four kills and two service aces by sophomore Morgan Dall to claim a 20-14 lead. The visitors responded with a quick 9-4 scoring drive to pull within a point at 24-23 following a Sycamore hitting error, but junior Stacy Qualizza gave the home team a 1-0 lead in the match after slamming a kill on the next play.

Junior Mazvita Maziveyi (Harare, Zimbabwe/Hillside (NC)) (Durham, N.C.) recorded two kills and two service points in helping CSU claim an early 5-1 leading margin to begin the second set, but the Sycamores used six service points from Dall and four kills from Qualizza during a 24-10 scoring run to head into intermission with a two-set advantage.

Dall posted five kills and sophomore Auriel Armstrong tallied four kills to lead ISU in the third set as it opened the stanza with an 8-0 lead en route to capturing the match.
