Cougars Drop 3-0 Decision at Bradley in Non-Conference Tilt

Leslie Williams recorded 12 digs tonight at Bradley

CHICAGO – The Chicago State volleyball kick dropped a 3-0 decision (18-25, 12-25, 11-25) tonight to host Bradley in a non-conference battle at the Renaissance Coliseum in Peoria, Ill. The Braves improved to 5-19 with the win, while the Cougars fell to 0-26 on the year.

 

Junior Leslie Williams (Phenlan, CA/Lake Land College) (Phelan, Calif.) and freshman Valeria Desiderio (Chicago Heights, Ill./Bloom) (Chicago Heights, Ill.) paced the Green and White with 12 digs and seven kills, respectively. Senior Hanya Minta (Eden Prairie, MN/Eden Prairie) (Eden Prairie, Minn.) produced eight assists and junior Alexandra Mason (Beaverton, OR/Harper College) (Beaverton, Ore.) tallied six kills.

 

Amy Angelos produced a match-leading 13 kills to pace Bradley, while Shelly Mueller posted a match-best 39 assists and Rachelle Dejean notched 13 digs for the Braves.

 

The Cougars return to the Jacoby Dickens Center this Thursday for a non-conference home match versus Butler with a start time of 5 p.m.
