The 2013-14 campaign will be the fourth for Matt Raidbard as the Chicago State men's basketball assistant coach. His duties include coordinating team travel, on-floor coaching and scouting of opponents.

Raidbard served as the video coordinator for the men’s basketball team at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Fla., during the 2008-09 school year. He was responsible for organizing the team’s film exchange program as well as providing game breakdowns for opponent’s scouting reports.

Prior to his time at Florida Gulf Coast, Raidbard served as an assistant coach at Dartmouth College, where the team achieved its best finish in the Ivy League in over a decade (tied for third place). During that same season, the team swept Penn and Princeton on the road, and defeated Penn twice in the same season for the first time in 50 years.

Before making the jump to the NCAA Division I ranks, Raidbard began his college coaching career at Western New Mexico University, a Division II school located in Southwest New Mexico. During his time at WNMU, he played a key role in the recruitment of student-athletes and on-floor development of current players as well as creating and implementing the team’s strength program.

A native of Skokie, Ill., Raidbard developed a passion for coaching and college basketball at a young age by volunteering to coach youth and travel teams on Chicago’s North Shore.

A 2006 graduate of Indiana University, Coach Raidbard received his undergraduate degree in classical studies and history with a minor in sociology before moving on to Western New Mexico University where we completed a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership.
