Sikola Maxey was named Director of Program Operations in the Chicago State Athletic department on November 1, 2024.

Maxey is a seasoned administrative professional with extensive experience in operations and strategic support, particularly within higher education and healthcare settings. Known for her ability to foster organizational effectiveness, Maxey has a proven track record in managing HR processes, budgeting and vendor relations, and driving initiatives that align with institutional goals. 

She comes to Chicago State after spending nearly 20 years at the University of Chicago in a variety of roles, most recently as Business Administrator with the University of Chicago’s Department of Safety & Security. 

Maxey earned a Bachelor’s Degree of Science at American Intercontinental University and a Master’s of Leadership Development from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. She also completed a project management strategy certificate from the University of Chicago Graham School of Continuing  Liberal and Professional Studies and a coaching certificate from the Association of Talent Development in Washington, D.C.
