James Hudgins III enters his first season at Chicago State as Quarterbacks Coach and Recruiting Coordinator, bringing more than a decade of collegiate coaching experience. Hudgins most recently served as Wide Receivers Coach and Pass Game Coordinator at Fayetteville State University, helping lead the Broncos to the 2022 CIAA Championship. Previously, he spent four seasons at Central State University as Quarterbacks Coach, Wide Receivers Coach and Recruiting Coordinator, where he helped guide the Marauders to the SIAC's top ranked offense in 2018 while developing multiple All-SIAC student-athletes. Hudgins has also coached at Hiram University and Dakota College at Bottineau, developing all-conference players at multiple positions. He earned a Master of Athletic Administration from Concordia University Texas and a bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Central State University.
