Danielle Miller was named associate athletic director for sports medicine on September 1, 2023. In her role with the Cougars, she will direct and oversee athletic training for all 15 NCAA Division I Cougars athletics programs.
Miller spent the previous three years as head athletic trainer and senior woman administrator at Rivier University in Nashua, N.H., overseeing 15 varsity sports while serving in athletic administration. Miller spent nearly five seasons as an assistant athletic trainer and physical education Instructor at Brandeis University, servicing 21 athletics teams.
Miller, who earlier in her career spent seven years as head athletic trainer and senior woman administrator at Daniel Webster College, has spent nearly 20 years with the United States Anti-Doping Agency as a doping control officer. Miller conducted in-competition and out-of-competition tests on elite athletes across the United States in a variety of sports. She was one of the USADA Officers who was selected to conduct both in-competition and out-of-competition drug testing at the 2010 Winter Olympics held in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Miller is a 1993 graduate of Plymouth State University where she competed in freestyle skiing and rugby while earning a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Athletic Training. In 2014, Miller earned a Masters in Exercise Science from Concordia University in Chicago and also holds certifications in dry needling level one and Graston’s technique.
