Ashley Ware joined the Cougars sports medicine staff as an assistant athletic trainer on November 1, 2021.
Ware comes to Chicago State after serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois. While at ONU, she assisted the full-time athletic training staff in providing medical coverage to the intercollegiate athletic programs for the Tigers while pursuing a graduate degree. She worked with ONU men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s tennis, baseball and softball.
Prior to her time at Olivet Nazarene, she worked as a rehabilitation aide at Athletico Physical Therapy where she performed administrative duties and worked alongside clinicians.
In her role at CSU, Ware will provide care and aid in the prevention of athletically-related injuries, including therapeutic rehabilitation to allow for return to competition, while prioritizing the welfare of student-athletes. Ashley earned a Bachelor of Science degree from North Park University where she was president of the stop team and earned a leadership award as a senior.
She also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Management, Healthcare, from Olivet Nazarene University.
