Alexis Lloyd

Alexis Lloyd joined Chicago State University as Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach on September 19, 2025, bringing a strong background in coaching, recruiting, and player development to the Cougars program. Lloyd returns to Chicago after gaining experience at multiple levels of collegiate basketball and youth development.

Prior to Chicago State, Lloyd served as an Assistant Basketball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Wagner University, where she helped lead practices, scout opponents, develop game strategies, and support student-athletes academically while maintaining NCAA compliance. She also spent time at Texas Southern University under Hall of Fame coach Cynthia Cooper, while adding youth coaching and program management experience with Showcase Basketball.

As a standout player, Lloyd starred at University of Southern California, where she was a member of the Trojans’ 2014 Pac-12 Championship team and NCAA Tournament squad. Following her collegiate career, she played professionally in Europe. She was also inducted into the Illinois High School Hall of Fame as part of the historic 2012 Whitney Young team.

Lloyd earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Science Psychology from USC in 2016 and returns home to Chicago bringing her experience, leadership, and hometown pride to the continued growth of Chicago State women’s basketball.
