Alyssa GaudioThe 2014-15 season is the second for Alyssa Gaudio as the head coach of the women’s golf program at Chicago State University.

Gaudio was hired in October of 2013 and helped the Cougars to a record breaking 2013-14 campaign. CSU set a new program record with a team season average of 317.0, seven strokes better than the previous low. The Cougars set a new program record for a low round with a 298 during the final day of the PGA Minority Championship. The Cougars’ 914 at the PGA Minority Championship also set a new 54-hole school record.

Individually, Brooke Melvin graduated with a career average of 80.52, best in school history. Casey MacNeil and Melvin each averaged 79.3 in 2013-14, tying for the best single season averages in program history.

Prior to her arrival at Chicago State in 2013-14, Gaudio spent the previous two seasons as an assistant coach at NCAA Division III North Central College in Naperville, Ill.

While at North Central, Gaudio was involved in all parts of the program. She assisted with recruiting, skill development, practice planning and academic support. In 2012-13, North Central recorded top three finishes in eight tournaments with a victory in the Benedictine Spring Invite. In Gaudio's first season, 2011-12, she helped the Cardinals earn top three finishes in six tournaments, including two victories.

She was a 2011 NCAA Division III First Team All-American as a student-athlete at North Central. She earned Academic All-American honors the same season. She became the school's first four-time all-conference selection, winning the individual conference title in 2007. The North Central graduate was one of only 11 individuals in the nation selected to participate in the NCAA Division III National Championship. In the classroom, she was an academic all-conference selection and a Dean's List member all four years. She received the National Coaches All-Academic Award in 2009, 2010 and 2011, an honor only 67 DIII golfers in the nation receive. Gaudio was the women's golf team Student Athlete Advisory Committee representative for three seasons.

Gaudio has held internships with Wilson Sporting Goods and P.U.R.E Golf. She is level one certified by the Titleist Performance Institute.

Gaudio graduated with her bachelor's degree in exercise science and a minor in business administration from North Central in 2011. She earned her master's of professional leadership in 2013 from North Central. A Western Springs, Ill. native, Gaudio graduated from Lyons Township High School.
