Cierra Bond was named an assistant coach for women's basketball on August 15, 2023.
Bond comes to Chicago State after serving in similar roles at Madonna University (2021-23) and Romulus (MI) High School (2019-21) where she was charged with player development and scouting. She played guard on an Oakland University squad where Williams served as an assistant coach, ranking third in three-point field goals made per game, 10th in three-point field goal percentage, averaging 10.5 points per game and 1.5 steals. Bond earned a degree in recreation and leisure management from South Georgia Technical College in 2018 and a Bachelor of Integrative Studies degree from Oakland University in 2018, following a two-year playing career with the Grizzlies.
