Chanise Jenkins was named as an assistant women's basketball coach at Chicago State on May 14, 2024.
Former DePaul University product Chanise Jenkins comes to Chicago State following two seasons as an assistant coach at Loyola Chicago, focusing on player development. Following a successful playing career overseas that included stops in Switzerland, Australia and Hungary, Jenkins secured a coaching internship with the Connecticut Sun of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).
Jenkins enjoyed a decorated playing career during her time at DePaul, finishing her stay in Lincoln Park with her name littered across the program record books. Over 141 career appearances, a mark that ranks third in DePaul annals, Jenkins ranks 13th all-time in program history with 1,605 career points. Jenkins took home All-BIG EAST Conference honors three times, highlighted by a senior campaign in which she was named the 2015-16 BIG EAST Player of the Year after averaging 14.5 points, 5.0 assists and 1.6 steals as the Blue Demons captured a regular season conference title and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament.
Jenkins graduated from DePaul in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in communication and media studies.
