2016: Served as a starter in all 12 games that he appeared in while posting a 3-6 record with a 5.97 ERA and 60 strikeouts over 60.1 innings of work… allowed three hits and an unearned run to go along with eight strikeouts in six innings thrown as the opening day starter at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (2/19)… tallied a career-high 12 strikeouts over seven innings in a win over Northern Colorado (4/22)… gave up only two hits through seven scoreless innings in a no-decision at Hawai’i (3/17)… named a CSU Scholar-Athlete and received Academic All-Western Athletic Conference honors.

2015: Appeared in 14 games with 12 starting assignments in first season with the Green and White… finished with a 1-5 record and a 4.20 earned run average through 75 innings pitched… struck out a season-high seven batters against New Mexico State (4/26)… threw a season-best eight innings and posted four defensive assists at North Dakota (4/11)… notched six strikeouts at Texas-Pan American (4/18) to post first victory in a CSU uniform… received Academic All-WAC and CSU Scholar-Athlete recognition following the season.

2014 (Elgin CC): Sat out the season as a redshirt.

2013 (Elgin CC): Saw appearances in eight games and started five times during first season at Elgin Community College while recording a 1-0 record and also produced a save… struck out 32 batters and tallied a 1.90 earned run average… produced a season-high nine strikeouts at Madison College… notched eight strikeouts through six scoreless innings at Prairie State College… threw a scoreless ninth inning at Southeast Nebraska to earn a save.

Prep: Three-year letterwinner and two-year pitching starter at Huntley… served as team captain in senior year… produced a 4-1 record and five saves with a 1.66 ERA… also recorded 77 strikeouts and walked 13 over 46 innings thrown… earned all-Fox Valley Conference and Northwest Herald all-area honors… hit .283 as a sophomore with five doubles and drove in five runs in helping HHS to a 29-11 record and finished fourth in the 2010 IHSA Class 4A state tournament… four-year honor roll student… also played club ball for several teams, including Huntley Red Raiders and the McHenry County Hurricanes.

Personal: Son of Kevin and Kim Perkins… majoring in marketing… has played at every level of baseball with brother, Josh, who is also a senior on the CSU baseball team.
