Chicago State Women’s Golf Finishes 13th at A-Ga-Ming Invitational

KEWADIN, Mich. Chicago State women's golf wrapped up competition at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational on Monday, finishing 13th as a team with a three-round score of 951.

The Cougars opened the tournament with a team score of 311 before posting a 321 in the second round and a 319 in the final round. The three-round event was played at A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort's Sundance course, which measured 6,000 yards and played to a par of 72.

Aarushi Bhanot led the way for Chicago State, finishing tied for 45th individually with a total score of 232 (+16). Bhanot carded rounds of 74, 80 and 78 throughout the tournament.

Begona Perez followed with a 233 (+17), placing 50th overall. Perez improved throughout the tournament, recording rounds of 79, 78 and 76, including Chicago State's lowest individual round of the final day.

Maria Quintero finished tied for 69th with a three-round score of 241 (+25), posting rounds of 80, 79 and 82. Almudena Aguera finished 78th at 249 (+33), while Elise La Borde rounded out the Cougars' lineup in 79th at 250 (+34).

Central Michigan captured the team title with a score of 868, while Bowling Green finished second at 889. Indiana State and Bradley tied for third at 898.

Chicago State finished the A-Ga-Ming Invitational with a strong final-round effort and will look to carry that momentum into its next competition.
