Box Score Staten Island, New York, – Chicago State women's basketball fell short in a 58-52 loss to Wagner College Saturday at the Spiro Sports Center. The Cougars outscored the Seahawks 17-9 in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough to close the scoring gap. The Cougars shot 44% from the field and 30.8% from beyond the arc.
Freshman Aiyanna Culver led the Cougars with 17 points, four steals and three assists. Junior
Josie Hill added 11 points.
CSU falls to 4-24 on the season. The Cougars will aim to rebound in their upcoming game against Mercyhurst University on Thursday, February 27, at the Jones Convocation Center. The game will tip off at 6:00 PM. As part of their Play4Kay event, the Cougars will host a Pink Out to honor Breast Cancer Survivors.
