CHICAGO – Senior
Alexandria Cliff (Manitowoc, Wis./Roncalli) set a new career-best, as the Chicago State women's basketball team fell 87-67 to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Sat. Jan 11 at home.
The senior, Manitowoc, Wis., native, poured in her career-best 23 points leading the game, while also pulling down seven rebounds and dishing two assists while playing the entire 40 minutes of action.

Tyeshia Bowers (Flint, Mich./Southwestern), gave CSU its only lead of the game, 22-21.
A Bowers jumper at the 6:48 mark knotted the game before UTRGV went on a 11-5 run to take a 37-31 lead into the intermission.
Trailing ten after 30-minutes of action, the Vaqueros used a 27 fourth-quarter effort to secure the 87-67 victory.

Ines Mata Boix (Madrid, Spain/), who also played all 40 minutes of the game, earned a double-double with 13 points and 16 rebounds, with two assists and a block.
Bethany Carstens (Kenai, Alaska/Nikiski) (13) and Bowers (10) also finished in double-figures with three and five assists, respectively.
