OPENING TIP – Chicago State women's basketball continues its three-game homestand on Wednesday night as it takes on Bradley at the Emil and Patricia Jones Convocation Center with the opening tip set for 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on the WAC Digital Network and WVON 1690 AM.

SCOUTING CSU – The Cougars head into Wednesday night's contest with a 1-5 record on the year with a 1-1 mark at home following last Saturday's 75-71 win over Morehead State which broke a 12-game losing streak dating back to last season. Freshman guard/forward Kaylee Allen (Cincinnati, Ohio/Winton Woods) is the top scorer for the Green and White as she is averaging 12.7 points per game, while senior forward Layne Murphy (Country Club Hills, Ill./Rich Central) is currently posting averages of 11.7 points and 10.2 rebounds per contest. Freshman forward/center Sh'Toya Sanders (Fort Wayne, Ind./Wayne) leads CSU and the Western Athletic Conference with 2.2 blocked shots a game.

SCOUTING BU – Bradley comes into the JCC with a 2-3 record on the season after breaking a three-game losing streak last Saturday night with an 87-47 home win over NCAA Division III member Eureka College in downstate Peoria. The Braves are led by sophomore guard Anneke Schlueter and redshirt junior forward Whitney Tinjum as both players are averaging 10.8 points per game. Junior forward Leti Lerma is producing team highs of 6.4 rebounds and 2.2 steals a game, and graduate student guard Kat Yelle is dishing out a team-best four assists per contest for BU. 

SERIES HISTORY – Bradley holds a 12-1 lead in the all-time series with Chicago State and Wednesday's game is the first meeting in Chicago between the two schools since 2007. The Cougars slipped past the Braves at Renaissance Coliseum in Peoria last season by a score of 62-59 behind a 16-point performance from Paris Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville).

UP NEXT - CSU closes out its homestand at the JCC this Saturday afternoon against Kansas Staet from the Big 12 Conference in a WAC Digital Network broadcast beginning at 2 p.m.
