Box Score CHICAGO, IL – Chicago State loses 87-34 to DePaul. The Cougars started slowly offensively and were plagued by turnovers as the Blue Demons begun the game with a 17-0 run in the first five minutes. The Blue Demons finished the half strong taking a 44-19 lead into half time.
The Cougars turnover woes continued in the second half as they committed 22, which the Blue Demons capitalized on finishing the game with an 87-34 victory.
Megan Podkowa led DePaul with 22 points, one block, one steal and five rebounds. Mart'e Grays added 16 points and five rebounds in the victory.
Layne Murphy (Country Club Hills, Ill./Rich Central) led the Cougars with nine points, one block and nine rebounds.
Paris Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville) added eight points and seven rebounds to the effort.
DePaul moves to 6-2 on the season. Chicago State is 0-7 on the season and will play Saint Joseph's College (Indiana) at the Jones Convocation Center on Saturday December 13th at 2pm.
