Box Score CHICAGO – Despite senior Paris Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville) (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville)' 18 points, four rebounds and two steals, the Chicago State women's basketball team fell to Western Illinois 90-55 on Thursday night (Nov. 20).
Sophomore Konner Harris (Sidney, Ohio/Sidney) (Sidney, Ohio./Sidney) added to the effort with 11 points and four rebounds.
Western Illinois went on the 31-10 run to start the game as the Cougars struggled with 11 turnovers in the first half.
Coach Jackson commented, "We need to have a better start to the game and we have to limit our turnovers if we expect to give ourselves a chance versus Oakland University (Nov. 23)"
The Leathernecks had two players in double figures led by Ashley Luke's 21 points and Tori Niemann's 13 points.
Western Illinois continues their season with a 2-1 record. The Cougars' record is now 0-2. Chicago State continues their non-conference schedule at home against Jackson State University on Wednesday (Nov. 26).
