CHICAGO – Led by junior Brianna Hickman (Tucson, Ariz./Tucson) (Tucson, Ariz.), Chicago State University women's golf captured its second title of the fall season Sunday by winning the Windy City Triangular in Indianapolis. The tournament was postponed for a day due to inclement weather in the Hammond, Ind., area.
The Cougars, who also won the Chi-Town Showdown #1 on Sept. 18, posted a team score of 313 to defeat Valparaiso and Green Bay in the one-day tournament.
Hickman shot a four-over-par 76 to win her second medalist honor of the fall season and lead the CSU contingent on the day.
Junior Brittany Johnson (Golden, Colo./Golden) (Golden, Colo.) tallied a career-best low score of 78, and redshirt senior Esther Lee (Irvine, CA/Santiago Canyon College) (Irvine, Calif.) managed to card a 79.
Sophomore Diana Flores (Torreon, Coah, Mexico/Instituto Alpes) (Torreon, Coah, Mexico) rounded out the scoring by posting an 80 for the Cougars.
