Tony Tommasi Not Returning as CSU Women’s Soccer Head Coach

CHICAGO – Chicago State University Interim Director of Athletics Tracy Dildy has announced today that Tony Tommasi has been relieved of his duties as the University's women's soccer head coach effective immediately.

"We have decided not to renew the contract of CSU women's soccer coach Tony Tommasi," Dildy stated. "I would like to thank Tony for his service to Chicago State University and wish him well in any future endeavors."

The Cougars concluded the 2016 season this past weekend by finishing with a 1-16 season record that included a 0-7 ledger in WAC play.

Tommasi served four seasons as head coach for CSU, which played its first season in 2014.

A national search for a new women's soccer coach will begin immediately.
