Chicago State Volleyball Volunteers At Burnside Scholastic Academy

Chicago State's four seniors help the students stretch at Burnside Scholastic Academy
CHICAGO - Last Wednesday (Oct. 23), the seniors from the Chicago State volleyball team spent their morning at Burnside Scholastic Academy (650 East 91st Place in Chicago) teaching a class about volleyball.

Seniors Madeleine Radtke (Stevensville, Mich./Lakeshore), Paula Sioto (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Instituto Educacional Raphael Di Santo), Rachel Levitt (Willow Springs, Ill./Lyons Township) and Mysta Townsell (Gardnerville, Nev./Douglas) stretched with the 50 students in the class before getting into the basic skills of volleyball.

"We had a great time at Burnside," said assistant coach Dawn Barnes, "The interaction between our four seniors and the students was fantastic. Thank you to Burnside for allowing us to come out."

The Cougars finish their non-conference schedule with a tilt against Valparasio tonight (Oct. 28) at 7 p.m. before heading to Grand Canyon (Oct. 31) on Thursday and then hosting Bakersfield on Saturday (Nov. 2).
