CHICAGO – Chicago State University men’s golf concluded its season with an 11th-place finish at the America Sky Conference Championship, held at Los Lagos Golf Club in Edinburg, Texas.
The Cougars produced a two-day, 54-hole total score of 1,098 for the tournament, while host Texas-Pan American claimed the team title after posting a team total of 917 to edge second place Northern Colorado by three strokes.
UTPA’s Brandon Reyna posted a low score of 67 in the first 18 holes en route to winning the individual title and finished with a 54-hole score of 216.
Sophomore Lorne Boutte (Richton Park, Ill.) led CSU after recording a score of 254 to finish in a tie for 45th-place which included scoring an 84 over the first two rounds of play. Junior Marc Carter (Burbank, Ill.) followed Boutte by finishing 49th after posting a score of 262 and recorded an 85 in the final round.
Sophomore Josh Worely (Calumet City, Ill.) finished 53rd in the tournament with a score of 253, followed by junior Raymond Morris (Chicago, Ill.), who placed 54th after carding a three-round score of 299.
Junior Bryant Ukaigwe (Homewood, Ill.) rounded out the scoring by finishing in 55th place.
